Publication Note
We hear and witness everyday the rise of alternative
media or media that is not your traditional television, radio ,newspaper or the
Internet version of a long established one of these.This event based on actual
official statistics should come as no surprise since along with the rise of the
Internet there has been a fall in the publicity and credibility of so called
mainstream media and continual distrust with public opinion moving towards the
view that they have become puppets of an increasingly pervasive and dominating
global elite. The reasons for this later point include increasing gaps between
rich and poor ,wealth accumulation in a decreasing number of hands and the
continual decline in the natural resources of the world concurrent with
unsustainability that our economic system is based on and increasing
overpopulation.
True journalism is not something you learn about in
school .This can only make you better than
you already are. It is like an art you need to have passion and the desire to
achieve something along with talent but above all ethos because your effort is
to bring people in contact with the truth irrespective of any negative
consequences from pressure groups or individuals that will be inflicted despite
your honesty and adherence with legislation.
The goal of this blog is to function as a focal point
for presentation of information and knowledge and help provide solutions to
environmental problems and aid the quest for nature preservation and
sustainability. This will be at present bilingual
(Greek and English). Ultimately through information sharing alliances can be
forged from people who share the same interests and anxieties.
Because knowledge is power and information is the fuel
of that power.
In doing so we seek to turn this into an unbiased information
portal for the environment that presents least known cases, situations and
issues but also more importantly potential solutions. This includes issues of environmental justice for both people and the rest of the natural world.
This is not just our voice this is your voice your opinion and for that reason alone it matters greatly
