Journey into Ecological Resurgence: John Liu at TEDxWageningen

The Television journalist Jonh Liu founder of the Environmental Education Media Project for China (EEMPC) explains the value of biological diversity and ecological interactions and how we have produced an economic system that values the derivitaves of ecosystems rather than the ecosystems themselves. He discuses how we need a new economic system based on value of ecosystems and the great value of conserving and restoring ecosystems where necessary and that this should be the driving forces for this economic system if we are to sustain life on earth and how this could lead to a greater quality of life even for people bellow the poverty line to achieve a high standard of living. There are so many degraded lands around the planet and ones that are not, if managed and restored where neccessary sustainably, human civilization could survive and flourish
